There are still other drugs which can help you to overcome fear of flying but should be taken under doctor's consultation. Psychoactive and Benzodiazepines are the pills which need prescription by a doctor. With the former drug you can get relaxed and get rid of things which trigger anxiety in you. It does not help you overcome fear of flying; rather it gets you the confidence so that you can fly comfortably. The pills need prescription so you need to visit a doctor. He will examine you and give the pills accordingly.
Benzodiazepines pills are also prescribed drugs and should be taken under supervision of any doctor. Such fear of flying medication will only help you to relax.
Still some people might take alcohol before boarding a flight but this is not a permanent method in overcoming fear of flying.
